If it's a server I suggest using Debian/Stable. If you need some specific
software you can install a backport (though be careful about backports and
security).
If the server is not that important then you can use Debian/Testing. I have
yet to see a real need for something other than Stable on servers. Then again,
different users have different needs.
Personally I like to keep my servers running Stable (at work we have one
running testing, but it was installed before I got there and I'll leave it
with etch and not continue the testing branch). My workstations run Unstable
and I've never really had a big problem. Then again, 1. I know what I'm doing
and 2. I'm a lucky bastard.
