Hiya!

My name is Rohan Sheth, I am a freshman at UC Santa Cruz majoring in
Information Systems Management and dorming at Merrill.

I have a number of plans for SlugLUG including meetings, speakers, lan
parties, the works!  Our preliminary meeting for discussing our
"official" meeting place as well as frequency.  Events will also
slowly be planned, here are my ideas so far (as can be found on the
sluglug website):

Spring 2006
- -Our first meeting will be online in our IRC Chat Room
(irc.freenode.net/#sluglug).
- -We will discuss Spring quarter's meeting places and times as well as
events which will take place at these meetings.
- --> A few ideas have been brought up:
- ---> Discuss Current Technology News.
- ---> Lan Parties/Games.
- ---> Invite speakers from prominent technology companies.
- ---> Install Fests.
- ---> Presentations from LUG members on certain pieces of software or
projects they are working on.
- ---> Any more ideas?
- -Exact date and time have yet to be decided.

So, looking forward to an excellent Spring quarter (with LUG activity
again!), I'll go ahead and go back to letting you guys study for finals.
