Hi -
That's my big problem too. I have a Averatec laptop with a built-in
rt2500 that I've had similar problems with - roughly speaking, it worked
with 5.10 Ubuntu but is getting progressively more non-functional
with 6.06. Doing various things to it will cause Gnome keyboard input
to lock up, among other problems.
I also have a weird problem trying to connect with another card -
I can get an IP at home (my AP is encrypted with WEP) but not with
any non-encrypted AP I've tried. In this case, I started trying to use
the plug-in card after I started having problems with the rt2500.
I'll be at the SMAUG meeting tomorrow night, and am sometimes
in the general vicinity of Crown.
