Actually, there's been no suffering involved on my watch. I've nicely
sidestepped a number of issues. udev, ATA CD recording, the 2.4.x 24-hour
release.
I take it as a matter of pride that my users had X.org a long time before
Deb's X team had cleared up their silly politicking. They also had nptl
and 2.6 long before any of their competitors.
