Actually there is an alternate install disk for Feisty - I had 3 with
me at the Installfest. You have to go a different path through the
website to get the alternate ISOs. For example, this mirror worked
well for me:

  http://us.releases.ubuntu.com/

Which I got to from

  http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/downloadmirrors
