Hey guys.

A new year is coming around and if we want to have any cool events we
better get planning. I'd like to maybe at least do one thing a month.
Be it an installfest, a talk, a generic meeting, whatever. At least
we'll get started and ramp up from there.

School kicks up Sept 27th (correct me if I'm wrong there) and I'm sure
we'll all be a little busy during our first week. So I'm aiming for
something to happen maybe the first week of October.

I'm totally open to ideas and I can reserve us any
space/network-ports/etc we might need to facilitate the meeting. I've
been researching the SOAR affiliation process for obtaining funding but
quite frankly the oversight process and such makes it not exactly feel
worth the effort. Although if anyone wants to help me with putting
together the board+charter I'd be willing to go in this direction.

I imagine we should probably make some attempt the recruit the incoming
freshmen into our little organization...but until we have a stable
schedule of meeting times and whatnot I feel like we might bore people
if we do not meet often enough. A recruitment attempt should
definitely be made at some point...however I think it might need to
wait for some sluglug structural issues first.

I'll maybe make the web site more 2.0 ("cool looking") at some point
tomorrow or the day after. Then if people visit the site at least it
will be more appealing.

Feel free to respond with suggestions...I could totally go for
suggestions.
