I was just one of several behind-the-scenes guys trying to prevent that
day being a colossal screw-up.  Don Marti and Nick Moffitt also helped
run things, and we were collectively coordinating simultaneous events
not only in Foster City (the "SF" event) but also in New Zealand, Irvine
(CA), Paris, and NYC.

Sam Varghese asked me about it later (for Sydney Morning Herald and The
