[SlugLUG] novice needs help with linux laptop

Hello all,

I just called ITS and they recommended I contact this listserv for general
help with my laptop.  I had ubuntu installed over a year ago, and have run
into a slew of small glitches that I don't know how to fix.  If anyone would
be willing to sit down with me and do a general tune up and maybe add some
nice apps I would be extremely grateful.  And I would repay you handsomely
for your services.  Please email me with any questions about my system and
