Nope.  You'll want to read that HOWTO, and much should be clearer.

Well, you want to start from a simple starting point.  So, if there's a
lot of stuff in there that you don't understand, that's bad.  You'll 
want to prune out some of your filtering rules, for now, and add them 
back as you understand the effect of each.
